Our very own GRACE Community Clinic Nurse Manager, Shirley Roberts, was invited to present at the “Framework for the Future” 2018 Texas Association of Charitable Clinics Statewide Conference, during the AmeriCares Pre-Conference Session on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.

Shirley is a Registered Nurse and Certified Case Manager with over 30 years of experience in health care and management. For the past 4 years, Shirley has served as the Clinic Nurse Manager at our Community Clinic. Her role includes overseeing day-to-day operations, patient educational development and implementation and management of the clinic. She teaches educational classes and provides clinical oversight to an active patient population, and works very closely with all volunteer providers to improve patient health.

Shirley was invited to speak due to her vast expertise in the field of charitable clinics, as well as the reputation and gold star status of our Clinic. Her presentation focused on Achieving Blood Pressure Control with AHA/AMA Target BP.

As you may know, the Community Clinic suffered a fire on Wednesday, April 11th, which makes Shirley’s presentation even more important and meaningful. An incredible surprise came at end of her presentation: Shirley was given a donation check from the American Heart Association towards the rebuilding efforts! THANK YOU!
