Volunteer Coordinator

GRACE is seeking an energetic, organized, mission-minded individual to coordinate recruiting, interviewing, promoting, recognizing and retaining volunteers for the agency.

*NOTE: Must submit minimum acceptable salary requirement with application.

*NOTE: This position may require occasional evening and weekend work as needed to attend functions benefiting GRACE.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct volunteer orientation sessions;
  • Maintain volunteer records in computer database and produce reports as needed;
  • Run Community Service Restitution program (CSR) and serve as the GRACE liaison to the local court system;
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective volunteers and groups;
  • Act as a liaison between volunteers and staff as necessary;
  • Plan and oversee National Volunteer Week activities and annual volunteer recognition luncheon/breakfast;
  • Work with staff as needed to assist with external/internal activities, presentations, tours and group volunteer projects;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or one to two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Non-profit experience and volunteer coordination/management preferred;
  • Demonstrated computer knowledge including experience in Microsoft software and Abila/Sage Fund Raising 50 software preferred.

Position reports directly to the Director of Community Engagement. All offers of employment are contingent upon the results of reference checks, criminal background check and drug screen.
