On April 20, hundreds of florescent green-glowing spheres will be darting around the fields just east of the Dam Road on Lake Grapevine. While X-Filers and UFO-logists may be intrigued, there is nothing extraterrestrial at all about this phenomenon.

Viewed from the overlook off Fairway Drive, the Grapevine Golf Course must look like a glow-in-the-dark rave during the annual Drive into the Night event to benefit GRACE children’s programs.

This year’s  Drive into the Night is scheduled for Friday, April 20.

For the ninth year in a row at least sixty luminescent golf carts will charge onto the Pecan and Mockingbird Courses at dusk, and one-hundred and fifty daring golfers will press tees into the ground, cradle a florescent green ball on the tee and drive into the night.

Sponsorship sales are underway now, and player spots are limited. The only way to make sure your team is playing is by purchasing one of several levels of sponsorship packages available. Special “naming sponsorships” are available as well, and customizable, to give sponsors the best bang for their buck.

Sponsorships begin at the Putter Level ($1,000). It includes a player foursome, two carts, dinner for four, 8 drink tickets, and other benefits, including glow equipment for play and for decorating your cart.

The event website www.DriveIntoTheNight.com includes all sponsorship levels and benefits.

The money raised through Drive into the Night helps GRACE improve the lives of children in our community. The GRACE Feed Our Kids and Christmas Cottage are just two of many services that supports children and families.

GRACE helps more than 1,600 children each year and Drive into the Night helps ensure these and other services reach as many children and families as possible.
