The phrase “it takes a village” is a response that is often used when asked how so many families in need are able to be served at GRACE. There are so many who are seeking help and refuge, especially this year, and the need is only going to continue to rise at an alarming rate.
So how do we, as a community, meet the need?
That was the question weighing on everyone’s mind at GRACE as the organization’s annual premier Gala was around the corner. Just a mere eight weeks before the event, which usually hosts upwards of 700 attendees, the difficult decision was made to shift to a live-stream virtual evening.
As you can imagine, there was much concern and speculation about how supporters of this amazing fundraiser would respond to this change… and if they even had the ability to support in the year of COVID.
We are thrilled to announce that the virtual, live-stream GRACE Gala, was absolutely outstanding!
Of course, it is the support of the community, volunteers, sponsors, donors, advocates, staff, and online attendees who are committed to the GRACE mission that helped make November 7th a night to remember. Even though we couldn’t be together in-person, it was so abundantly clear that the dedication to help our neighbors in need was still at the top of everyone’s minds.
