This summer we plan to provide tens of thousands of lunches at near sites where children are most vulnerable to food insecurity—but we need your help!

The heart behind Feed Our Kids is to ensure each child has a lunch time while school is not in session. The sad reality is that children who take part in free and reduced school lunches face a greater risk of eating less while school is not in session. Many parents are either unable to take time off from stringent hourly shifts or a recent emergency has forced them to make difficult decisions between necessities.

Feed Our Kids alleviates that burden to ensure that each child in the surrounding area receives a nutritious meal while they are not in school. Feed Our Kids Spring Break is a condensed week of meals, which provided nearly 700 meals in 2016!

If you’ve never been part of Feed Our Kids, this summer program is deal for churches, civic groups or businesses looking to improve internal morale and be part of giving back in a local, tangible way.

Spots fill in advance prior to the program and usually fill up quickly! Feed Our Kids officially kicks off June 6 and runs each weekday through August 15.

Groups can choose to sponsor meals at a particular site for the day or work week. New groups will have the resources they need to get started by contacting Seasonal Programs Coordinator Lori Stevens.
