GRACE Main Offices
 
  • Donate materials/equipment and strip tile floors in GRACE Main Board Room
  • Donate materials and labor to clean out gutters at GRACE Main
 
Transitional Housing:
 
  • Donate materials and provide skilled labor to re-surface roof at Transitional Housing apartments (estimated cost $16,000) (tentative, American Bus Association)
  • Donate materials and provide skilled labor to replace kitchen and bathroom countertops and replace or repair kitchen/bath drawers in 10 Transitional Housing apartments
  • Donate materials and labor to sand and paint carports and shed at Transitional Housing (tentative Eagle Project, Craig Allen, to be completed 3/12)
  • Donate new and functional computers for Transitional Housing families (tentative Eagle Project, Paul Porter, to be completed 1/1/12)
  
GRACE Outreach to Health Community Clinic/Food Pantry
 
  • Donate materials and provide skilled labor to re-surface roof at GRACE Pantry/Clinic building (estimated cost $19,000)
  • Donate materials and provide skilled labor to build an outdoor display cabinet for Clinic
  • Donate materials and labor to strip and wax floors at Pantry (2-day process)
  • Re-set sprinkler heads and provide quarterly general service for sprinkler maintenance at Pantry/Clinic.
  • Donate materials and provide skilled labor to build a Gazebo adjacent  to  Clinic
  • Donate materials and labor to manicure landscaping at Pantry/Clinic - ongoing maintenance project
  • Donate painting prep materials and skilled labor to paint 2 patient medical rooms and back hallway at Clinic. (paint is provided)
  • Donate use of carpet cleaning machine, cleaning materials and skilled labor to clean carpets in patient waiting area and front hallway at Clinic.
  
GRACEful Buys
 
  • Donate materials and install new metal gate at GRACEful Buys (estimated cost $2,290-2,660)
  • Donate and install window tint on showroom windows on east side of building.
  • Donate materials and install picture hanging grid in showroom.
  • Donate materials and build a covered storage area behind GRACEful Buys warehouse
  • Paint wall in warehouse 
 
Donation Station
 
  • Donate materials and install misters under tent at GRACE Donation Station
  • Donate materials and create new fence (tentative Eagle Project, Stan McKnight)
  • Donate equipment/materials and provide skilled labor to weld metal clothes racks
  • Donate and install new restroom vanity (tentative Eagle Project, Luke Schumacher)
  • Donate materials and skilled labor to repair and install new wheels on 10 canvas bins.
  • Donate materials and stripe approximately 12 parking spaces.
  • Donate materials and labor to landscape walkway.
  
GRACE Food Pantry
 
  • Donate materials and labor to strip and wax floors at GRACE Pantry 
  • Donate materials/labor to sand/paint doors and trim of Pantry/Clinic

  • Saturday, September 10, 2011 - Fall Planting - Remove spent crops, apply manure and/or finished compost. Plant succession squash, cucumbers, cilantro, swiss chard, green beans (seeds)—as space allows. 8:00 am till completed. (2nd Saturday Moms/Boys Club of Colleyville, completed 9/10/11)
  • Saturday, October 1, 2011 - Late Fall Planting – Planting lettuce, spinach, radishes, peas (seeds), plant broccoli, cabbage (plants)—as space allows. Weed and mulch. 9:00 am. till completed.(Eagle Scout Cale Anderson, completed 10/1/11)
  • Every Week on Wednesdays at Noon – Weed, gather ripe produce. Also, spent produce, leaves and other organic materials must be added to compost piles. Turn compost piles and water. Spot water crops, if needed.  If interested in weekly volunteering in the gardens, please contact Becca Clarke at bclarke@dsit.us
  • Donate funds for purchase of seeds, transplants, tools, tomato cages, manurefor planting seasonal projects.  
  • Donate usable garden tools and a wheelbarrow

Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves, sunhats, sunscreen, and water for Garden Projects.

  • Donate materials and stripe approximately 24 parking spaces at Pantry/Clinic (Kellogg, completed 10/27/11)
  • Donate materials and build floor-to-ceiling shelving unites at Pantry Warehouse (Kellogg, completed 10/27/11)
  • Donate materials and provide labor to paint interior doors and trim in Clinic (Kellogg, completed 10/27/11)
  • Paint restrooms at GRACEful Buys (Volunteer and staff project, completed 9/18/11)
  • Donate funds to have existing chain link gate professionally repaired (estimated cost $260) (Chesapeake Energy, completed 7/29/11)
  • Donate materials and provide skilled labor to re-surface flooring under awning area outside, approximately 30 x 30 space (Chesapeake Energy, completed 7/29/11)
  • Donate materials and labor to manicure landscaping (Greg Punko and sons, ongoing maintenance project effective July 2011)
  • Donate material and repair/stain wooden swing at Clinic (Bain Co., completed 6/24/11)
